Overview
The Project Coordinator (PC) is a core member of the Explorer Operations team and reports directly to a Project Manager. They are responsible for delivering book projects of varying sizes and complexity. A PC is responsible for getting the book reviewed by technical reviewers as per the scheduled agreed with the reviewer. The PC is responsible for delivery of chapters from technical reviewers, thereby ensuring that their books get published on time.
The PC is also responsible for raising invoices and orders for authors and reviewers. Apart from this they are responsible of the admin activities, managing tasks in the business system, etc.
A PC should have the ability to negotiate and problem solve scheduling issues with the book team, and the ability to build a professional rapport and influence with reviewers to keep them on track with their schedules.
The role involves working with multiple stakeholders and requires excellent time management and coordination skills. This role is for an individual who is organized and committed to deliver in a dynamic environment through efficient project management skills and techniques.

- Manage author communication
- Build a positive rapport, by support technical reviewers
- Ensure the timely delivery of content to the team
- Manage reviewing schedules
- Plan reviewing dates in order to meet the publishing date planned for the book
- Proactively monitoring the “velocity” of projects, adapting schedules accordingly
- Identify, assess and address risks that could jeopardize the plan
- Maintain integrity of editorial processes and good practice at each stage of the project
- Manage and resolve conflicts between deadlines and processes, with a focus on quality
- Ensure payments to TRs and authors and third parties are secured Manage other admin responsibilities
